Driving Miss Daisy Still up north. Not too bad so far today though. I got to sleep on the couch...there's only two bedrooms, other than the master room for my grandparents, so my brother took the bed. Yeah, I know. The GIRL is supposed to get the PRIVACY! So anyways, the couch is really narrow and I slept in pretty much one position all night, freezing me ass off since the vent is rusted pointing at the couch...Not cool. I woke up to the sounds of Midnight Club (on PlayStation TWO) and the smell of decaf coffee. I also had a dog shove its tongue up my nose. (At least I have no boogers now!) So I layed there for awhile and then got up when my mom made breakfast. Eggs and sausage. So I go back to the living room and sit down and my dad says he'll give me a dollar (a DOLLAR) to dry the dishes for my gramma. So I was all grumbly and went to do it, and then halfway through my dad took me DRIVING!!!! Okay, so my first right turn was a little wide, and I didn't go over 55 (that was the speed limit for part of it ANYWAYS!) and on the narrow back roads I stayed at 35, but that's fine. It was my first time and I have no idea how these roads are. You come over a hill and have to make a sharp left to avoid running off the road. So I did good! Anyways, it wasn't my car, so I wanted to be careful as it was. So I came back and talked to my mom and grandma for a little bit and then my brother and I watched American Beauty. If you haven't seen it, RENT IT! It's really good! So anyway, I don't have anything to do *sniffle* so I'm gonna go maybe read or something. Tonight I have to set off the rest of the fireworks, so once again pray that my hands or fingers or other limbs don't get burned off...SO FAR SO GOOD! \m/ P.S. I have YET to meet a hot (semi hot even) guy up here to flirt with...No girls, either...Damn inbreeding! ;) |
